Jen’s Pet Sitting Service

Terms and conditions

Meet and Greet: Jen’s Pet Sitting Service requires a Meet and Greet to go over home and pet routines, pet, and client information, and to ensure your pet(s) is comfortable with us.

 

Hours of Operation: We care for pets 7 days a week. You are welcome to call or text us from 8:00 am until 7:00 pm 7 days a week. You can also schedule a Meet & Greet or Pet Sitting online at any time and we will respond as soon as possible.

 

Visit Times: Due to the nature of our business, we cannot guarantee an exact time of visit, but we will give you a window of time when we expect to arrive. Should we be unable to arrive during that window, we will advise you of the latest updates.

Service Windows:

  • Morning: 7am-9am
  • Mid-Day: 11am-1pm
  • Evening: 4pm-6pm
  • Late Evening: 7pm-9pm

Visit times are approximate and subject to change based on the needs of all pets under our care. Jen’s Pet Sitting Service is entrusted to use best judgment in caring for pet(s) and home, in the event of an emergency situation, inclement weather or natural disaster. Jen’s Pet Sitting Service will be held harmless for consequences related to such decisions.

 

Scheduling:  We request you schedule with us by calling or contacting us online. We prefer you submit a request to schedule a Meet & Greet or a Pet Sitting using our online form. We will respond as soon as possible.

 

Reservations: We recommend scheduling Pet Sittings and V.I.P. Stays as far in advance as possible due to demand. Remember an initial in-home Meet & Greet is required prior to all reservations for new clients.

 

Short Notice Requests: We understand things come up at the last minute and you may need pet care on short notice. We will do our very best to accommodate such requests but cannot guarantee availability. There may also be an additional charge for Short Notice Requests.

 

BILLING AND CANCELATION POLICY

 

Pet Sitting Billing Policy: All pet sittings need to be booked and paid for in full 48 hours in advance. If not paid the booking will be canceled. These bookings are non-refundable, if cancelled with 48 hours or less notice. Bookings canceled 48 hour in advance will receive a full refund.

 

Payment: Payment for the service is to be made 48 hours prior to the first day of service unless agreed to with a Short Notice Request. We accept payments through Venmo, or PayPal, Zelle, Cash App, Personal Checks and Cash!  Please make all payable to Jenifer Dunnavant.

 

Reservation confirmation: Once your reservation has been completed, Jen’s Pet Sitting Service will email you confirmation. If you do not receive an email confirmation, please call, or text us to follow up.

 

Cancellation Policy: Scheduled Pet Sitting reservations need to be canceled at least 48 hours in advance. These bookings are non-refundable, if cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice. Holiday Pet Sitting reservations need to be canceled at least 72 hours in advance. These bookings are non-refundable, if cancelled with less than 72 hours’ notice.

 

Holiday List:
Easter Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day thru Sunday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve through New Year’s Day.

 

Unforeseen Purchases: If necessary, Jen’s Pet Sitting Service will purchase pet food, litter, cleaning supplies or other necessary items that are essential to the health and well-being of your pet while you are absent. We will retain a receipt and the pet owner is responsible for reimbursement of these items. In addition to item reimbursement there will be a $20 trip fee. Please make sure that all items needed to care for your pet are in full supply prior to the start of service.

 

Miscellaneous Fees: Additional charges may apply for the following. We can discuss details during our initial consultation.

  • Last minute requests.
  • $35 fee for returned check processing.
  • Holidays: $10 more for holidays & $5 more for prime days surrounding holidays.

 

 HOME ACCESS AND SECURITY

 

Keys: Jen’s Pet Sitting Service must obtain one of your house keys during the initial in-home visit when services are scheduled. Keys will be returned within 7 days of the end of your service. We require a key even if you have provided an access code in the event of a power outage.

 

Security notifications: Always notify your alarm company, door person and/or gate guards that Jen’s Pet Sitting Service will be caring for your pets so that we are allowed access to your home and service goes uninterrupted. If possible, provide a gate card, gate remote control, or key fob.

 

Additional Pet Care Assistance and Other Scheduled Services Not Affiliated With Jen’s Pet Sitting Service:

 

Jen’s Pet Sitting Service, company owner, agents, assigns, successors and heirs are not liable and are completely indemnified for any and all liability stemming from the act(s) or failure to act of third parties, whether known or unknown, including but not limited to, friends, neighbors, relatives or other service persons., that shall enter your residence for any purpose while Jen’s Pet Sitting Service is caring for your pets.

 

Photography: Client authorizes Jen’s Pet Sitting Service to take photos of Client’s pet for their file and for jenspetsittingservice.com website. All photos taken are the property of Jen’s Pet Sitting Service.

 

Privacy Policy: All your information will be kept private and confidential. Jen’s Pet Sitting Service highly respects our clients entrusting us with the care of their home and their loving pets. We do recommend that you inform a trusted neighbor that while you are away, Jen’s Pet Sitting Service will be caring for your pets and your home.

 

PET BEHAVIOR AND SAFETY

 

Aggressive Behaviors: If a pet has a history of biting or other aggressive behavior, Jen’s Pet Sitting Service reserves the right to refuse service. Bites must be reported to the local authorities as provided by law. The owner will be liable for all medical care expenses and damages that result from an animal bite.

Animal Behaviors: Animals behavior can be unpredictable. Jen’s Pet Sitting Service does not accept responsibility or liability for animal behavior, normal or otherwise, which result in injury to the client’s animals. Further, if a Jen’s Pet Sitting Service provider is harmed or injured by the client’s animals, the client/owner accepts full responsibility for the cost of any necessary medical attention required by either the Jen’s Pet Sitting Service Pet Care provider or by the animals. It is expressly understood and agreed that Jen’s Pet Sitting Service shall not be held responsible for any damage to Client’s property, or that of others, caused by Client’s pet(s) during the period in which the pets are in the care of Jen’s Pet Sitting Service. I also agree that it is my responsibility to notify Jen’s Pet Sitting Service of any pet that has ever caused an injury to any human or other pet.

 

Vaccinations/Immunizations: Jen’s Pet Sitting Service requires that all pets have the necessary vaccinations and immunizations before service begins. We may ask to see expiration dates for rabies vaccinations to photograph for our files.

 

Weather Policy: We strive to create a safe and healthy environment for your pets and our staff. In the event of extreme temperatures or severe and hazardous weather conditions, Jen’s Pet Sitting Service will provide a potty break and spend the remainder of the visit playing with your pet indoors. These weather conditions include temperatures exceeding 99 degrees or below 32 degrees, torrential rain, hail, and when lightning is present. If your pet has heat or cold sensitivities beyond breed standards, please inform us at the time of your initial consultation.

 

Household Emergencies. Please leave the name and number of a trusted maintenance company or a person you can rely on to attend to any household emergencies that may arise during your absence. This includes but is not limited to; leaking pipes, malfunctioning water heaters and heating and air units. Please discuss any continuous household problems during consult.

 

Fences. Fenced in yards are wonderful playgrounds for our dogs and allow them additional space to exercise and play. However, no fence system is totally secure. Jen’s Pet Sitting Service does not accept responsibility or liability for any client’s animals that escape or become lost or injured, fatal or otherwise, when instructed to leave the clients animals in a fenced in area. This includes electronic, wood, metal or any other type of fence. We also reserve the right to refuse yard play if the yard poses a threat to the pets or providers. For example: unsanitary conditions, stagnant water, excess animal waste, unkempt lawn, hazardous trash or items strewn about.

 

Thermostats. Please leave your thermostat settings within a normal comfortable range (65-78F). If the house temperature is outside of this range, Jen’s Pet Sitting Service will adjust the thermostat. This is to ensure the health and comfort of your pets and Paw Prince Pet Services staff during our time of service.

 

EMERGENCY PET CARE

 

Authorization of emergency care: If a pet becomes ill while under the care of Jen’s Pet Sitting Service, I authorize the representative of Jen’s Pet Sitting Service to transport my pet to my veterinarian (or one who is available) if this is needed in his/her best judgment. I authorize said representative to approve any emergency treatment recommended by the veterinarian (unless otherwise stated in Veterinarian Release Form) and I agree to pay promptly for any charges incurred. I release Jen’s Pet Sitting Service from any and all liabilities related to transportation, treatment, and expense.

Reimbursement for emergency care: I agree to reimburse Jen’s Pet Sitting Service for any additional fees for tending to emergency or veterinary care as well as any expenses incurred for any other unexpected home, food, or other supply needs. The client also agrees to reimburse Jen’s Pet Sitting Service for additional time accrued at the rate of $15 per hour in the case of such an emergency.

 

LIABILITY TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

Unpredictability: Due to the extreme unpredictability of animals, Jen’s Pet Sitting Service cannot be held responsible for any unusual mishaps (i.e., pet’s refusal to take medication, escaping from the yard, biting, eating or destroying household items, damage to inside/outside of home, personal injury/accidental death). If Client requests pet(s) to have outside access, Client releases Jen’s Pet Sitting Service from all liability for loss, injury or death to pet(s). Client is liable for injury or damage to Third Parties.

 

Termination: Jen’s Pet Sitting Service reserves the right to terminate this agreement at any time before or during its term if Pet Sitter determines the Client’s pet poses a danger to the health or safety of herself/himself or others. If concerns prohibit Pet Sitter from caring for pet, Client authorizes pet to be placed in a kennel with all charges to be charged to Client.

 

Pet Sitter Emergency: In the event of injury or illness of your Pet Sitter, or other emergency circumstances where duties are unable to be performed, Client authorizes Jen’s Pet Sitting Service to arrange for a back-up sitter to take over duties as outlined in this agreement.

 

Claims: Jen’s Pet Sitting Service agrees to provide the services stated in this agreement in a reliable, caring and trustworthy manner. In consideration of these services, the Customer expressly waives and relinquishes any and all claims against Jen’s Pet Sitting Service, its employees and associates, except those proven to be arising from negligence or willful misconduct on the part of Jen’s Pet Sitting Service.

 

Indemnification: You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Jen’s Pet Sitting Service and our parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, officers, directors, agents, contractors, licensors, service providers, subcontractors, suppliers, interns and employees, harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, made by any third-party due to or arising out of your breach of these Terms and Conditions or the documents they incorporate by reference, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third-party.

 

Severability: In the event that any provision of these Terms and Conditions are determined to be unlawful, void or unenforceable, such provision shall nonetheless be enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, and the unenforceable portion shall be deemed to be severed from these Terms of Service, such determination shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any other remaining provisions.

 

Termination: The obligations and liabilities of the parties incurred prior to the termination date shall survive the termination of this agreement for all purposes.

These Terms and Conditions are effective unless and until terminated by either you or us. You may terminate these Terms and Conditions at any time by notifying us by email that you no longer wish to use our Services.

If in our sole judgment you fail, or we suspect that you have failed, to comply with any term or provision of these Terms of Service, we also may terminate this agreement at any time without notice and you will remain liable for all amounts due up to and including the date of termination; and/or accordingly may deny you access to our Services (or any part thereof).

 

ENTIRE AGREEMENT

 

The failure of us to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms and Conditions shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

These Terms and Conditions and any policies or operating conditions or in respect to The Service constitutes the entire agreement and understanding between you and us and govern your use of the Service, superseding any prior or contemporaneous agreements, communications and proposals, whether oral or written, between you and us (including, but not limited to, any prior versions of the Terms of Service).

Any ambiguities in the interpretation of these Terms and Conditions shall not be construed against the drafting party.

 

GOVERNING LAW

 

These Terms and Conditions and any separate agreements whereby we provide you Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of a court of competent jurisdiction in the City of Green Cove Springs, County of Clay, in the State of Florida.

 

Jen’s Pet Sitting Service, company owner, agents, assigns, successors and heirs are not liable and are completely indemnified for any and all liability stemming from the act(s) or failure to act of third parties, whether known or unknown, including but not limited to, friends, neighbors, relatives or other service persons., that shall enter your residence for any purpose while Jen’s Pet Sitting Service is caring for your pets.

 

CHANGES TO TERMS OF SERVICE

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to update, change or replace any part of these Terms and Conditions by posting updates and changes to our website. It is your responsibility to check our website periodically for changes. Your continued use of or access to our website or the Service following the posting of any changes to these Terms and Conditions constitutes acceptance of those changes.
